CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation

In January 2017 CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation (IQA) was awarded to Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship, Ural Federal University. It was acknowledged that IPAE UrFU is leading academic and teaching institution in the field of public administration, public relations, entrepreneurship and management oriented towards solving relevant tasks of innovation development of the Ural Federal Region and the country in general.

Russian Poetry By Foreigners

Each international student is given a poem that reflects his character, temperament and emotional state, so that the students had the opportunity to get used to the role, to experience a state of lyrical hero.

In word and deed: international student learned about JustMedia news agency business model

On the 10th of May Andrey Rusakov as a part of the course Mass Media in Place Branding System arranged a meeting for international Master’s students of IPAE, UrFU with JustMedia news agency Chief Executive Ulyana Yelfimova. The aim was to introduce them to the business model of a regional news agency.

The students from Cameroon and Kyrgyzstan had a chance to learn about the 11-years old history of the company, its structure and team, principles and specifics of creating and publishing its independent content etc. They also got to know how JustMedia manages to follow journalistic genre traditions and keep alive fun in the working process despite the agency’s age and turbulent economic conditions.

Ulyana Yelfimova told the guests about PR-activities of the agency: creating of newsworthy events and information for clients, organization of special events, PR-projects and other activities. The students learned about the most successful projects of the agency that are not only beneficial to the company’s promotion, but also were a source of news published on JustMedia’s website. As the Chief Executive told the audience, one of the most important parts of work is helping people to solve their problems, which is why most of the projects are aimed to raise public and government’s awareness about current social issues.

During Q&A session Ulyana told about the hardest period in the agency’s life: a year when its team had to decide whether to maintain the work or quit. Despite all the logical reasons and the need to change the way of working they decided to save the agency, and after that all the difficulties and problems seem insignificant.

In addition, our students had an opportunity to learn how the agency’s employees go offline when they get tired of being only online and want to meet their audience, what is the reason of building a gigantic sheep in the middle of a shopping mall and how to teach citizens politeness using The Tramway of Kindness.
